Each Torta Pistocchi’s cake has its own story, but the story behind Elisa’s cake is the most special one. It is a love story - “with love for Elisa” as you can read on the packaging. This cake was made by Claudio Pistocchi for his daughter Elisa. It is a unique recipe, as unique as the tie that binds them that has come all the way from Asia to Italy.
Elisa’s cake is born out of the combination between Italy and Thailand after four years of testing in the company’s lab in Florence. The recipe is a fusion of aromas, flavours and stories: white chocolate, yuzu, orange, pineapple, lemongrass, ginger and nine other Eastern spices combine to create a cake with a citrus flavour that is perfectly balanced, like all Torta Pistocchi cakes, to bring you on an unforgettable flavour trip.
It was love at first bite.
Siblings Claudio and Claudia Pistocchi make artisan, prime-quality products without using eggs, butter, flour, added sugar, preservatives and additives. That’s why the cakes are vacuum-packed in the lab and must be kept at refrigerated temperatures to keep their fragrance and deliciousness intact for a long time. Do not forget to take them out of the fridge and let them come to room temperature - the ideal serving temperature - before serving them.
