Zeta Zafferano is located in the province of Arezzo and produces flawless saffron. Use of organic fertilisers, manual harvesting of purple flowers and stigmas, controlled drying process: these details make this saffron extremely refined. These extremely pure saffron stigmas are cultivated and dried in Tuscany. As a matter of fact, saffron cultivation has been playing a significant role in this region’s history and cultural heritage since the Middle Ages.
Today saffron is mainly used to prepare savoury dishes, traditional Tuscan pastry - such as the Easter ‘panina’ -, as well as liqueurs or even as a food colouring agent.
