These extremely pure saffron stigmas are cultivated and dried in Tuscany. As a matter of fact, saffron cultivation has been playing a significant role in this region’s history and cultural heritage since the Middle Ages.
Zeta Zafferano is located in the province of Arezzo and produces flawless saffron. Pistils, which are packaged in glass jars, are handled with extreme care.
Today saffron is mainly used to prepare savoury dishes, traditional Tuscan pastry - such as the Easter ‘panina’ -, as well as liqueurs or even as a food colouring agent.
