The best Piccadilly tomatoes, carefully peeled by hand and dried at a low temperature, have been selected for this preserve. Nonno Andrea has created a unique recipe, combining this variety of vine tomatoes with the flavours of lemon and basil.

These tomatoes have a beautiful bright red colour and a fleshy and soft texture. They are sweet with some slightly sour notes that create a balanced contrast and that, along with the lemon, are able to enhance the flavour of even the simplest dish, such as a plain steamed white fish.

Because they are so soft, the vine tomatoes packed in oil with lemon and basil by Nonno Andrea are a perfect match for roast beefs or beef carpaccios with just a thread of extra virgin olive oil on top.
