Sweet and sour celery by Cascina Pizzavacca is surely one of the most unique pickles made by this farm located in Piacenza. Celery is usually added to the pickled vegetable mix, but it is rarely packed in oil on its own; this is a little gem for true gourmets.

As is the case with all Cascina Pizzavacca pickles, only few, simple high-quality ingredients go into this celery packed in oil. These pieces of celery are ideal to add some crunch to a mixed salad, together with steamed octopus or as a veggie appetiser.
