Cold-smoked rainbow trout filet - “The Queen of San Daniele” – 100g Friul Trota
This rainbow trout filet is cold smoked, deboned and sliced. From the river to the table: in such a short supply chain prime-quality raw materials can really make the difference, as Friultrota’s Giuseppe Pighin has always wished.
In order to make such an amazing smoked trout, every manufacturing step must be handmade according to tradition, without adding any preservatives or colouring agents. It all begins with trout farming which takes place in a small lake on the banks of the Tagliamento river, and which is strictly monitored. Then the dry curing process, the manual deboning and the cold smoking take place. This last step gives the trout of San Daniele by Friultrota a unique flavour, because it is smoked naturally only using wood, berries and aromatic herbs.
This excellent product - a true ‘Queen’ - is high in Omega-3 fatty acids and nutrients; it is also healthy, since it is made with a focus on love, respect and quality. Fillets can be served on hot bread with butter or can be eaten as a carpaccio with vegetables, or as a tartare. And why not trying it in a sandwich?
