A caper berry is the fruit of the caper plant. Caper berries are bigger than capers, they have a tapered shape and are fleshy and sapid. Caper berries are actual delicacies that are, unfortunately, not so well known. Luckily, the farm La Nicchia comes to the rescue!

The aromatic and scented note of caper berries is greatly enhanced in these crumbled dried caper berries. As a matter of fact, after the drying process, flavours become more concentrated and the consistency becomes incredibly crunchy. Both the flesh of the fruit and its grains undergo this process, resulting in crackling, crumbled caper berries that can lend personality to each dish.

They ideally pair with fish, especially raw fish. Try them on pasta, risotto or on salads, too! Their contrasting textures are to die for!
